Website design and build

Most websites sold to a business this size are a template with your logo dropped in the corner. This isn't that. Every site is drawn for the one job it has to do (win the quote, take the order, fill the diary) and built by hand so it opens on a phone at a job site with two bars of coverage.

what you get

  • Designed for you, not chosen from a menu

No page builder, no theme with your name swapped in. We draw what your business actually needs and then build that.

  • The words written, not left blank

Copywriting is in every plan. Most people talk better than they write, so we ask questions, write it down properly, and you tell us where we got it wrong.

  • Photographs of your actual place

A shoot day is $650 and it is the single biggest difference between a site that looks like yours and one that looks like a stock library's.

  • Fast on a bad connection

Pages built ahead of time and served from a CDN. Nothing loads thirty scripts before the phone number appears.

  • Findable locally, on every plan

Google Business Profile set up and verified, and the pages marked up so a search engine can read who you are, where you work and what you charge. SEO is in the plan, not a line on the invoice.

  • Yours to change

Unlimited small edits on every plan. You ring or email a person; there is no ticket to file.

where we’d say no

We don't build forty-page corporate sites, we don't do multi-language, and we won't sell you a blog you're never going to write. Five pages done properly beats twenty that are mostly filler, and it is cheaper to keep alive.

what it costs

Nothing to pay up front on either: Tidy-up is $149 a month, Full fit-out is $299. Or pay once from $3.9k and own it outright.

what people ask

How long does a website take?
Two to five weeks for most of them, counted from the day we have your content rather than from the day you sign. A tidy-up is quicker; a site with a system behind it is longer. The fixed quote you get two days after the first yarn says which one you're getting.
Do I have to write the words?
No. Copywriting is in every plan. We ask you questions about the business, write it down the way you said it, and then you correct us. Nobody has ever sent us a completed content document, so we stopped asking for one.
What if I already have a website?
Then we're rebuilding rather than starting cold, which is cheaper in the parts that matter, because you already know what people ring up to ask. Bring whatever analytics you have to the first yarn; the pages people actually land on usually change the plan.
Can you use my existing domain and email?
Yes. We move the domain across or point it at us, and we leave your email alone while we do it. Nothing goes dark, and nothing gets cut over on a Friday.
Do you work outside Christchurch?
All over Canterbury, and the odd job further afield, with two in Northland. The photography day is the only part that needs a different arrangement outside the region: we travel at cost, find a photographer near you, or leave photos out.

Sound like your job?

Half an hour, no charge. We'll tell you what it would take.
