The Little John & Co home page — “Helping events run smoothly since 2018” in white over a darkened crowd, above buttons reading “I need work” and “I need workers”.

the problem

Bar staff, front of house and festival crew placed across Christchurch and Canterbury, all of it run out of a phone. Shifts went out by text, availability came back in three different chats, and every roster change meant messaging thirty people one at a time. Clients ringing on a Friday for Saturday cover had to be told the office would confirm on Monday.

what we did

A wordmark and site that says plainly who they staff and how fast, split so the two audiences never collide: venues hire on one side, workers apply on the other. Behind it, a roster tool where a shift is built once and lands live on every phone at the same moment, with staff profiles that print to a PDF a venue can be sent without a scramble.

The jobs page, tagged “For workers”: “Casual event jobs Christchurch”, and a button reading “Apply now — it's free”.
Three phone screens side by side: the Little John & Co home page, the hire page for employers, and the jobs page for workers.
“Nikau built us a site and system tailored to our exact needs and matched to our brand.”
